And that's a wrap!

Thank you everyone who joined us for the online term! Everyone worked incredibly hard!

We have attached our end of term email below!

HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!!!

Supporting TYT

Taking part in our classes is a great way to support TYT. But if you’d like to go further, here are a few things that can help us:

  1. Donate | We have set-up a JustGiving Page to help us keep us going through these difficult times. It is now up and running and we have been astounded at the generosity of our current and past members. At the time of writing, we have achieved over £1000 in donations. We cannot thank you enough.

  2. Give us a Review | Help us stand out from the crowd by leaving a Google Review Online. Every bit helps!

  3. Testimonials | We’re always looking for quotes from members, audience, family and friends. If you have something you’d like to say, simply e-mail us your words and thoughts.

  4. Join the Committee | We are still on the look-out for a Treasurer to support TYT by having an overview of our Financials. If you or someone you know would like to help or like to know more, please get in touch.

Summer Project

2nd Aug – 6th Aug 2021 (£99)

Looking for Summer Holiday activities? Well, we have the answer! In August we hold our Summer Project. This is a great opportunity to work together as a school on a Musical. It includes Acting, Dancing and Singing, and if performing isn’t your thing, we have another option for our Stage Management Crew. So if you know anyone who wants to experience Theatre behind the curtain, get in touch!

Termly Classes

We have shaken things up a bit for our classes. The key differences are:

  • Classes are split into school Key Stages rather than age. This is to help us with following Covid-19 guidelines but also allows friends in year groups to stay together and, if applicable, move up to an older class each September together.

  • Dance classes have moved to Monday’s. This is so it’s easier for all our members to take part in both Dance and Drama. These Dance classes are skill-based and cover a variety of disciplines including Contemporary, Street, Freestyle and even Latin American!

  • We have decided to not do a Sharing this term as we are focusing on reintroducing our young people to in-person classes and develop those class relationships.

  • Class Timings | We are continuing with a 10-week term and timings are staggered. To ensure ample cleaning time between classes and groups arriving/leaving at different times, we have staggered the class times again. Drama classes are 1 hour 30mins and Dance/Masterclasses are 1 hour.

  • Masterclasses | Our online masterclasses were so popular we have decided to continue them with our face to face classes. These are 1-hour bursts of industry knowledge for those who can’t get enough!

  • Term Fees | To keep our lovely theatre company going, we have needed to update our pricing and simplify our fees. We are keeping the very competitive and offering discounts for siblings/second classes. We’ve set the prices at £90 for 1hr 30min classes (Drama & Company) and £65 for 1hr classes (Dance & Masterclasses). Not forgetting the 10% discount for extra classes or sibling discounts (excludes Company and cheapest classes are discounted). Here are some scenarios:

    • Two siblings wish to take part. One in a drama class, and the other in dance.

      • The drama class will cost £90 and

      • the siblings' dance class will cost £58.50 (£65 less 10% discount)

      • The total will be £148.50.

    • One member wants to take part in a Drama Class, a Dance Class, a Masterclass and Company.

      • The drama class will be £90

      • Company will be £90 (discount does not apply to Company)

      • The dance class will cost £58.50

      • The Masterclass will cost £58.50

      • The total will be £297

  • Paying for classes | We will be opening up the option to pay for all future classes by Direct Debit by term or by ½ Term to help spread the cost. We will be automatically inviting all to pay for fees by Direct Debit but you can continue to pay by BACS if you wish. Please note, we will no longer be accepting Cheques.
